Chowee Leow, is a London based producer and actor for film and theatre.
He produced AN OCCASIONAL ORCHID, HOT DOGS & ETERNAL TRIANGLES for the Tripitaka Theatre Company. He started Rice is Nice Productions with Ray Yeung and together they produced Cut Sleeve Boys in 2006. He was the Associate Producer on several shorts including DOGGY-DOGGY, ENTWINE and PAPER WRAP FIRE. He was also an Associate Producer on the Singaporean feature film THE BLUE MANSION, directed by Glen Goei. As an actor he has been seen in several West-end productions and on television and film. He won Best Actor at the Madrid Lesbian & Gay Film Festival for his leading role as Ashley in Cut Sleeve Boys. His award winning one-person show AN OCCASIONAL ORCHID toured the UK, Asia and Europe and was presented at the Institute of Contemporary Art of Great Britain. The play provides the backbone of Becoming Zoe, a documentary feature exploring gender, race and sexuality to be released in summer 2015. |
